Homemade strawberry jam with pieces of strawberries
- 1 kg of strawberries
- 1 bag Gelírka 21 Liana
- 1 - 2 KL Liana citric acid
- 500 g of sugar
- pinch Sorbic acid Liana
1. Clean the strawberries, mix them and put them in a pot.
2. Take 2 tablespoons from 500 g of sugar, add Želírka Liana and mix into the blended strawberries. Bring the mixture to a boil. Add the remaining sugar and stir until the sugar dissolves for 2-3 minutes. For a more pronounced taste and color, mix a pinch of Liana citric acid. If we want to find out if the jam is thick enough, take a piece on a plate and put it in the fridge for a few minutes.
3. Pour the cooked jam into the prepared clean containers and turn them upside down. Cover with a towel until cool.
A good tip:
You don't have to worry that if you add Želírka, your jam will no longer be homemade. On the contrary, the jam will retain the distinctive flavor of the fruit and valuable substances, because it is not cooked for an unnecessarily long time, and at the same time, our Želírka Liana contains pectin from fruits such as apples and citrus, and these will cause the jam to thicken faster without endless mixing. Similarly, we will prepare jam from other types of fruit. Citric acid also serves as a preservative, but it also enhances the color of the fruit. Sorbic acid is also contained in Želírka, so it is not necessary to add it additionally, but it is added in case the lid is not perfectly closed, so that your homemade preserves are not really spoiled by mold.
