Ingredients
Dough
  • 500 g plain flour
  • 250 ml of milk
  • 3 tablespoons of sugar
  • 100 g melted butter / melted lard
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 fresh yeast
  • ½ tsp salt

1. Add sugar and yeast to the warm milk. Let it stand for 10 minutes. Mix flour, salt, eggs and prepared yeast. Finally, add melted, not hot butter or lard and mix well. Cover the dough with foil and let it rise in a warm place for about 40 minutes.

2. Work the risen dough on a mat. Roll out part of the dough, cut it into strips of approx. 2 cm. Wrap the individual strips around the prepared form or roller. Bake in a heated convection oven at 180°C for about 15 minutes.

3. After baking, brush with melted butter and roll in cinnamon sugar or to taste.

A good tip:
If we don't have tools for baking trdelnik, then spread the dough on a baking sheet and before baking, brush with butter and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar or sprinkles to taste.
